The guys over at Diamond Image completely transformed my car. My BMW M4 had multiple layers of swirls and scratches. They not only were able to remove the scratches but give the car that showroom quality that you expect from a 5 star detailer. The 2 stage correction, ceramic coating as well as the PPF on my M4 was worth every dollar spent and I can absolutely say I made the right choice with them.
GET RID OF THE SWIRLS.
Spider-webbing under the streetlights, buffer trails from the last shop, wash scratches from a tunnel wash. Those live in the clear coat, and they polish out. We measure the paint panel by panel, take the least aggressive route that works, and show you the difference under inspection lighting.
- ✓ Swirls, spider-webbing and buffer trails removed
- ✓ Paint depth measured before any machine touches the car
- ✓ 6500K inspection lighting, so nothing hides
- ✓ Done in your driveway, we bring our own power
What correction clients actually say.
Verified Google reviews from Diamond Image Detail clients across Fayetteville and coastal NC.
10/10 experience. Got a paint correction and ceramic coating. Took good care of my car and it came out better than expected. Very professional and kept me updated during the whole process. Definitely recommend for anyone who needs a detail. I will definitely be back!
I am floored by how amazing they did. It's very clear that they take a LOT of pride in their business, and they put their all into their work. I've had my personal car detailed before by other places, and I've never been so impressed. The car looked brand new and they had very good pricing. I will definitely be a repeat customer.
A quick buff vs. real correction.
A quick buff and a glaze
- ✗ Fillers hide the swirls for a few washes
- ✗ One pad, one polish, every car the same
- ✗ No idea how much clear coat is left
- ✗ Defects reappear the first time it rains
Measured multi-stage correction
- ✓ Defects are actually removed, not filled
- ✓ Pad and polish chosen per panel and per paint
- ✓ Depth readings taken before anything cuts
- ✓ The result is what you see a year later
How correction actually goes.
No two cars get the same treatment. That is the whole point.
Decontamination wash
Wash, chemical decontamination and clay. Polishing a dirty panel just grinds grit into the paint.
Inspection and depth readings
We read paint depth panel by panel and inspect under 6500K lighting, then tell you which defects come out and which do not before we start.
Test spot
We find the least aggressive pad and polish combination that clears the defects, so we remove as little clear coat as possible.
Correct, refine, re-inspect
Every panel is compounded, refined, wiped down and re-inspected. Then we walk it with you in the light.
Before and after, in the light.

Questions we get asked most.
If yours is not here, call or text 910-322-2400.
Will paint correction remove all of my scratches?
It removes everything living in the clear coat, which is most of what you see: swirl marks, spider-webbing, buffer trails, light wash scratches, and a lot of water spotting. The test is simple. Run a fingernail across the scratch. If it catches, the scratch has gone through the clear and polishing will soften it rather than erase it. We tell you which defects come out and which do not before we start, so nothing about the result is a surprise.
Is machine polishing safe for my clear coat?
It is safe when it is measured. Polishing works by removing a very small amount of clear coat, so the only real risk is a shop that keeps cutting without knowing how much clear is left. We take paint depth readings panel by panel before any machine touches the car, pick the least aggressive pad and polish combination that will do the job, and stop while there is plenty of clear coat left to protect the color underneath.
Will the swirl marks come back?
Correction resets the paint. What happens next depends entirely on how the car gets washed. Automatic tunnel washes, dirty drying towels and single-bucket washing will put swirls straight back in. A ceramic coating gives the surface a harder, slicker layer that resists wash marring and makes safe washing much easier, which is why we recommend correcting first and then protecting.
Do you do paint correction at my home?
Yes. Diamond Image Detail is fully mobile. We arrive with our own water, our own power, polishers and 6500K inspection lighting, so correction happens in your driveway, garage or office lot across Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Raeford, Spring Lake, Sanford, Southern Pines and Fort Liberty. A garage or shaded, level spot is ideal, but it is not required.
